Hot Weather Heroes - Keep Cool with CreditKnowledge
May 27, 2026
We've waited all year for it, and the sunny weather is finally here!
Of course, we all want to make the most of the heat while it lasts, so to help keep us all a little more comfortable, hydrated, and safe, we've had a look for some hot weather heroes, for this heatwave and the next!
If you've been to the supermarket this week, you've probably seen empty shelves where the fans should be. Fans are a great way to keep a room cool, helping you sleep and keeping your furry friends comfortable, but they can also add a fair bit to your electricity bill! To help with this, we've found this low-energy fan*, which has a 35W power usage. This fan is also very quiet, meaning it can be on in the background.

Another great option is a small portable desktop fan that you can charge via USB - simply plug it into your laptop as you work! We are really impressed by this Portable Handheld USB Rechargeable Fan*. It has 5 wind speeds and comes in a range of colours. This can be mounted in its stand or used as a portable fan!

If you're out and about but still getting too warm, this portable neck fan* could be a must-have for you! This sits around your neck, meaning it can keep you cool while you get on with the jobs you need to do. The fan itself is bladeless, meaning it's safe for long hair and clothes, and can be easily recharged, ready for use.

The heat can be very tiring for our pets, and sometimes they need a little extra help. We've picked out these cooling mats for pets* to help them relax. These need no electricity source or putting in the freezer first - they contain a gel layer that absorbs the heat from the animal sitting on it! This is great for in the house, as you can leave it out without any prep and not have to worry about it running out of power or melting. This is an additional plus for cat owners, as we all know, cats aren't a fan of water! These come in a variety of sizes depending on the animal it's for, so make sure you measure before ordering!

It's super important to stay hydrated all year round, but in this heat, we need it even more.
Stanley Cups have been a viral item online for some time now, but when it comes to staying hydrated, these are actually a great option! We've opted for the Stanley 1913 Flip Straw Sports Water Bottle with Straw*, which is leak-resistant and easy to travel with. This keeps drinks cool for 10 hours, or if you add ice, 3 days! There's plenty of colours to choose from too!

Staying hydrated is super important, but when we sweat, we also lose essential salts with the water, which our bodies need to properly hydrate. To help with this, we've found these Phizz 3-in-1 Electrolyte Tablets* For Hydration, Electrolytes and Vitamins. They come in 3 different flavours, and simply dissolve in water. Their studies suggest that they hydrate you 3 times more effectively than water alone, and are great for sports, hot weather, and a great caffeine alternative for additional energy throughout the day.
Before use, check labels for allergens (in bold/CAPS/underlined) and maximum daily doses and follow usage instructions.

As much as we want to enjoy the sun, we also need to stay safe, and a good sun cream is essential. We've picked out this Nivea Sun Protect and Moisture Factor 50 Spray*, which absorbs easily for Immediate UVA/UVB Protection. This offers a high level of protection whilst being water-resistant, and is also free from microplastics. There's also the option to purchase this on subscription, which is a great option as we prepare for the summer holidays.
